character#04

Challenge
The typeface market is highly saturated, making it crucial to effectively communicate the unique features of newly released fonts. Typically, type specimens are used to showcase a typeface, but these often come across as dry and technical, failing to capture the interest of many type users.

Solution
Building on the success of the specimag concept, we collaborated to design the fourth issue, Characters #04, to celebrate the release of two new typefaces: Early Sans and Late Serif. While these typefaces are not part of the same family, they are perfectly complementary.

To convey this relationship visually, we used the analogy of sunrise and sunset to compare the two typefaces and showcase their unique features. Additionally, Characters #04 includes “The Alphabetical Room,” an exploration by Liad Shadmi that delves into the boundaries of writing within a 3D grid.
